Kulttuurikoto – A Creative Family Cafe supporting integration in Vantaa

Kulttuurikoto is an open creative family cafe organised at the Children’s Cultural Centres for migrant families with children. At Kulttuurikoto, families can meet other families, find new friends, practise their Finnish skills and take part in creative and hands-on activities together in a safe and welcoming environment with their children.

The family cafes are professionally coordinated and led by multilingual peer facilitators. Kulttuurikoto is welcoming to families whith diffrent language skil levels and children of all ages, including babies. No registration is required. You are warmly welcome with your family!

The Children’s Cultural Centres are accessible spaces. Baby food can be heated if needed, and please note that the cafe space is shoe-free. Participation does not require Finnish language skills. The family cafes follow safer space principles so that Kulttuurikoto is fun and safe for all families to participate and play.
